Editorial Policy

This policy explains how we research, write, and review what you read on OutdoorGym.com. It applies to every page on the site.

Accuracy and sources

We aim to be accurate first. Where we state a fact - a safety standard, a material property, a definition - we base it on primary sources and industry documentation rather than repeating common assumptions. Where a figure would need verification we cannot yet provide, we would rather omit it than publish a number we cannot stand behind. If information changes, we update the page and note it.

Updates

Guides are living documents. We revise them as standards, products, and best practice evolve, and we show a “last updated” date so you know how current a page is. We do not change dates without changing content.

How we mention products and manufacturers

Outdoor fitness is a product-driven field, so our guides sometimes name specific manufacturers or product categories. When we do, it is to illustrate a point - a material, a technology, a category - as an editorial choice we stand behind. We describe competing manufacturers neutrally, based on publicly available information from their own materials.

Our suppliers directory lists manufacturers alphabetically and explains the criteria we use to include them. Any “recommended solutions” we highlight are editorial selections meant to help readers who have reached a buying decision; they are labelled as such, and they never change the substance of our guidance.

Corrections

If you spot an error, tell us. We take corrections seriously and will fix genuine mistakes promptly. Use our contact page to flag anything - a wrong fact, a broken link, or a claim you think needs a source.
